Les Coquelicots is one of my most personal works — a luminous composition where a horse stands amidst a field of vibrant poppies, symbolizing resilience, grace, and the quiet strength of nature. The painting is rooted in a serene memory from the south of France, where I found refuge after the war began in Ukraine. That period felt like a blessing, a moment of profound peace offered in the midst of upheaval.
 
This piece became my tribute to that sacred calm — a visual expression of gratitude, renewal, and the healing presence of the natural world. The poppies, radiant and alive, echo the beauty that can arise even in difficult times, while the horse embodies dignity, protection, and inner fortitude. Through this work, I honor the silent gifts that guide us forward, even when life feels uncertain.
