A Gift to Saint-Laurent-des-Arbres

I am an oil painter from Ukraine. When the war began, I came to this small town with my family—seeking safety, carrying only hope. In Saint-Laurent-des-Arbres, we found far more than refuge. We were welcomed with open arms, supported by kind-hearted people who gave us strength when we had none.

This town gave me peace, but also something more: the motivation to keep creating, to keep moving forward. Its breathtaking landscapes, rich nature, and especially its warm and generous residents inspired me to pour my gratitude and love onto canvas. That is how my collections were born—seascapes as symbols of calm and renewal, and horses as symbols of spirit, freedom, and endurance.

Three years have passed, but my heart has never left Saint-Laurent. In particular, I will forever hold dear the Dumas family, who became not just friends, but family to us. Their sincere kindness and love are imprinted on our hearts.
